My computer won t log on?

Every time I enter my password into Windows it loads forever and doesn t log on. Prior to this I did download a pirated software (yes I know I shouldn t have done this). I ve tried turning off the computer and trying again multiple times. Is there anything I can do to log on without the computer freezing? I m running a Lenovo ideapad i7 Windows 8 64bit.
