My laptop screen turns off 15 minutes of use. How do i fix it?

A few hours ago my laptop screen turned off and my external monitor got disconnected and also turned black. I have done an antivirus scan and hooked up my monitor to test if it was a back light problem. I have the Lenovo y50.
