Why is my iBook G4 so slow?

I bought an iBook G4 for my mom and she said the thing was so slow especially when compared to her lenovo laptop which has a crappy i3 on it.

Why does she say it's slow? How can I speed it up? She uses her computers for facebook (which I taught her how to do), youtube, and video streaming.
