Remove battery from my laptop?

Hello!

As my primary stationary computer recently broke, and I am now using my laptop instead, I am wondering if I should remove my battery from the laptop, when I have my power cord connected, because I don't want to overcharge it and damage it.

My laptop is the Lenovo ThinkPad L430 Laptop.
