Is it safe to use laptop continuously on A.C. Adapter supply?

I have a Lenovo G50 laptop. I remove its battery and use it continuously for hours (4-5 hours) on A.C. Adapter supply when I m home. I have inverter battery backup at home, so my laptop doesn t even restart, nor does it show signs of voltage fluctuation when there is a power cut. But I have heard people of saying that using laptop continuously on A.C. Adapter supply damages motherboard of the laptop and all that… Can someone please confirm this?
