Dvd drive won t accept discs?

I lent my sims disc to a friends and I just got it back and i tried putting it in the drive but now it own t work. I thought maybe it was the disc but it won t accept any disc. When I open it the little green light turns on and it acts like it s going to startup but then the light turns off and it does nothing. I tried the disc in a different laptop and it worked. My laptop is a lenovo Windows 7. Thanks in advance. Btw it used to work so this is new.
