IMB thinkcentre 8172, wont boot up,?

only fan at top speed, monitor doesnt even come on. Iv been trying to update an install drivers for internet for audio, video controller etc. Which is strange cos windows xp professional has only just been downloaded an installed on this computer. Anywho, all its doing now is when i turn it on it beeps 3 times then 1 time then 4 times an then 3 times. Surely this must tell somebody wats wrong with my machine?
