My Windows 8.1 Lenovo PC will not boot correctly after update?

I have a Windows 8.1 Lenovo brand PC. It recently prompted me to update so I did, and now when I try to startup the PC, it says Lenovo for about 5 seconds and then the PC turns off EVERY SINGLE TIME! I got it to somewhat boot where it told me it couldn't boot correctly and then gave me about 5 options which included Recovery Disc, Startup Repair,(etc.). What could have caused this and how can I fix it? Keep in mind that I cannot even get as far as the login screen.
