Toshiba laptop wont start past the leading innovation screen?

My l55t-a5290 toshiba laptop (less than 2 years old) won't start past the first screen. It just replays over again. And no command buttons will work. I was editing a video in Adobe premier when it shut off suddenly and started doing this. My friend thinks it is from overheating. What can I do?
