Laptop Stuttering Problem help?

i have a lenovo y500 and lately it has started to stutter.
when i play videos and songs they stutter a lot. How do i fix this?

laptop config
intel i7 @ 2.2 GHz
8gb ram
2gb nvidia gt 650m
