DVD driver for Lenovo laptop help?

My Lenovo g500s laptop is having DVD driver issues. It worked fine for a while until I updated to Microsoft 8.1. Now all of the sudden my computer says that there is no cd/dvd driver detected and when I put in a DVD, it says that there is no disk in the drive to be read. I think I need to download the DVD driver, but I cannot find which one it is even on the Lenovo site.
