Gaming/College Laptop in one for a budget?

For my graduation gift my parents are willing to buy me a laptop for college. Obviously I plan on focusing on my studies so I'd like a laptop that can run Microsoft Powerpoint/Word/Excel/etc if need be. But also, I love PC games and I would hate to see my parents spend a lot of money on a laptop that can't run some of my favorites. I love Heroes of the Storm, Dota 2, Hearthstone, WOW, and online games like that. Whenever I research "gaming laptops" all I get are 1,700+ laptops made to run games like Elder Scrolls Online at ultra-quality graphics. That's not what I'm looking for! Just a laptop that can store a lot of games and run games like Heroes of the Storm at medium-quality graphics without a problem. Insane battery life isn't a must but efficient would be nice!
