Wake computer and wifi limited?

I've had problems with windows laptops for years but this is just annoying. Whenever my laptop falls asleep and then I wake it up, the wifi is always "limited" and I have to restart the computer, or worse, restart the router. My phone and tv have no problems with the router, just my computer

But the wifi at school always works, even when I put my computer to sleep then wake it. So what's the issue? I have a Lenovo yoga running windows 8
