Ok, so my co-workers computer wifi stopped working, and he had no idea how to fix it. So i went over and right-clicked the symbol in the bottom right, and after telling it to repair itself, it ran into an error and instantly Shutdown. The moniter sat there in "standby mode" and the computers power light was flashing green.
We restarted it and the wifi was working o send the erroe report, but about a minute later the wifi dropped again, and instead of having it do the automatic repair, i manually disabled the card, and while "enableing" it again crashed when an error popped up.
No matter what USB slot we have the adaptor in it seems to cause this sudden shutdown.
I have no idea what could cause a shutdown while repairing the Wifi. This is the first ive ever seen of this.
Specs:
Computer is IBM Thinkcentre with Win XP installed.
WIFI card is Linksys Wireless-N USB Adaptor (N300)
