I'm looking for a laptop that is as powerful and as cheap as the Y50. You can buy the Y50 at
http://tinyurl.com/o6czsjv
for $889. Size does not matter much to me as I won't be moving it around everywhere (but I would like to be able to take it with me sometimes). The specs I would want are:
- i5 (preferably 3570k but not required)
- Nvidia GeForce GTX 860m (840m is okay, too, but I prefer 860m or 870m)
- 1 TB hdd (ssds are okay too)
- 8 GB RAM (minimum)
- 1920x1080p screen (IPS preferred but not required)
- Windows 8.1
- 15.6" screen (any other size is fine but I prefer 15.6")
Optional but preferred:
- VGA port
- Separate headphone/mic jacks
- Customizable backlit keyboard (single color is fine too)
- Optical Drive (not very important)
- Bluetooth (4.0)
Any weight is fine, I don't mind carrying around a behemoth as long as it's under $1000. Are there any other computers like this for as cheap, or should I stick with the Y50? Thanks!
(I also looked at the MSI GS60 Leopard-10 which doesn't look too bad, but it's not quite as powerful as I want it to be.)
Added (1). I'd also like the keyboard to be chiclet style.
